Privacy Policy
Effective 29 September 2026
1. Information We Collect
Account and profile: We create your account from your verified mobile number. We store the teaching context, name, optional NTC licence number and optional preferences that you provide.
Readiness and certification work: Your six readiness choices are scored on our server. We store the resulting score and area profile, Professional Application decisions, evidence, assessment responses and server-calculated results.
Payments: Payments are processed by Paystack. We store the payment reference, amount, payment channel and status. We never see or store your mobile money PIN or card details.
2. Purpose and Consent
We use this information to provide your secure account, save your certification journey across devices, calculate readiness and assessment results, issue and verify credentials, process payments and send service messages (such as sign-in codes and receipts) by SMS through mNotify. Marketing and WhatsApp updates are only sent if you separately opt in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
3. Identity and Integrity Checks
Where an identity or presence check is enabled for an assessment, we ask for your explicit consent first, explain what is captured and offer an accessible alternative. Any image is stored privately, used only to confirm that the registered teacher completed the assessment, and deleted after the documented retention period. Anomaly signals are reviewed fairly and are never treated on their own as proof of misconduct.
4. Where Information Is Stored
Account records are stored in our application database and evidence files in private storage. Work you save while offline is kept on your device until it syncs; use a private device where possible.
5. Third-Party Services
Paystack processes payments. mNotify delivers SMS messages. Our hosting provider operates the servers, database and private file storage. These providers process information only as needed to perform those functions.
6. Public Verification
Credential verification pages show the credential title, issuer, issue date, status, credential ID and CPD status. Your name is only shown if you choose to display it. QR codes link to verification pages and never contain personal data.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, including Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may ask to access the personal data held about you, correct inaccurate information, or delete your account data and private evidence. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or to protect the integrity of an issued credential.
8. Contact
To make an access, correction or deletion request, contact the FutureTeacher GH programme team using the contact details in your enrolment SMS. We will verify account ownership with a code sent to your registered number before acting on the request.
